Right to Information (RTI) Act

The Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005 is an important law enacted to provide Indian citizens with access to information from government institutions. Came into force in 2005, the primary objective of this act is to ensure transparency and accountability in government operations. Under this law, any Indian citizen can request information from government offices, and the concerned department is required to provide a response within a specified timeframe.
